Marky Marc will be the host of the highly anticipated “Jersey Mike’s Capitol Battle of the Bands” on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at SECU Stadium, University of Maryland, College Park.
A proud graduate of North Carolina A&T, Marky Marc earned a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and became a distinguished member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Beyond his radio career, Marky Marc has made a name for himself by hosting a variety of events, including nightlife gatherings, basketball games, and concerts. He now adds the Capitol Battle of the Bands to his growing portfolio. In addition to his hosting duties, Marky Marc is the founder of the “whoUwit” foundation, which raises awareness for breast cancer and provides positive platforms for youth and community engagement.

The Capitol Battle of the Bands is dedicated to celebrating the rich cultural heritage and extraordinary talent of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) marching bands. Our mission is to provide a dynamic platform that showcases the artistic excellence, musical precision, and vibrant energy of these outstanding ensembles. We aim to foster a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition among participants, while inspiring and empowering young musicians through exposure to the highest levels of performance and creativity.
